Location
Camp Summit is found in the Upper Squamish Valley on a beautiful 24 acre site. This private site is surrounded by majestic mountains and an old growth cedar forest. Camp Summit is located in Squamish, British Columbia, Canada, only 80 minutes north of Vancouver and an hour south of Whistler.
Accommodations
Camp Summit has bed space for 144 campers who can be housed in one of our 10 spacious platform tents. The Cabins are placed in 2 ‘village’ groupings and each village has a separate, detached bathroom building located directly behind the tenting area. Each village grouping also has its own wooden cabin that sleeps 12 with a curtained off more private room at the back that sleeps 4. All the sleeping accommodations at Summit have lights and power. The tent cabins are insolated all season long to keep them warm on cooler days and cool on hotter days and the wooden cabins have heat and power. The bathrooms buildings in both villages boast electricity hot and cold running water and showers.
Meals
While at Camp Summit campers will be provided with healthy, fun and delicious meals in our dining hall. We definitely understand the importance of a hearty meal when you are being active outside all day! Breakfast at camp is always an eye opener with hot & cold cereal, fruit salad and always a hot meal that could consist of scramble eggs, hash browns bacon, french toast, pancakes and more! Lunch is the meal that keeps you going at the very popular Camp Summit salad bar with lost of veggies, fruit, hot soup and tasty treats. At lunch meals could be grilled cheese, hamburgers, taco, chicken strips and more! Dinner is the best time at camp with filling healthy meals like turkey dinners, lasagna, chicken and pasta, roast beef and more! All meals at Camp Summit are served “family style” having all the campers eating at the same time at the table. We find that serving meals this way promotes good table manners, the importance of sharing, and allows for good table conversation. Please note we will make every effort to accommodate camper’s dietary needs or food restrictions when they are brought to our attention on the camper’s medical form.
Site Facilities
The Camp Summit site boasts a Climbing and Sheltered-Bouldering Wall, Low Ropes Course, High-Ropes Course, large playing field, Archery range, Initiative and Orienteering Courses, two Campfire Circles, Mountain Bike and Interpretive Hiking Trails, an Eco-Shed with camp garden, Volleyball and Gaga Ball court, theater ball courts, Camp Craft area with camping facilities for 22 campers, outdoor Ampatheatre, shaded Grove area and Arts & Crafts building. |
